SUSTAINABILITY
At PT King Trading, the fabrics we use are made from certified recycled materials, including salvaged fishing nets, plastic bottles and post-consumer waste. Sourced from established overseas mills, these materials can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80% compared to virgin fabrics and are GRS and U-Trust® certified. Despite being recycled, they remain soft, durable, UV 50+ protective, and resistant to saltwater and chlorine. Their use is supported by practical production choices such as biodegradable packaging, reduced-waste cutting methods and water purification systems, allowing brands to work with proven materials and reliable processes without compromising performance or quality.
A Responsible Workplace
We employ more than 250 staff on a long-term basis and operate under Indonesia’s Bonded KITE licence, which is granted only to manufacturers that meet strict regulatory and ethical requirements. Our team is paid above local standards and provided with full medical insurance, including coverage for spouses and up to three children, as well as a daily freshly cooked hot meal. This structure allows us to retain skilled technicians and maintain consistent quality across collections and seasons, while also benefiting from import duty and VAT exemptions that can reduce fabric import costs by around 35 percent compared to standard import routes.
Environmental Care
We use biodegradable zip-lock bags for all outgoing shipments and apply reduced-waste cutting methods to maximize fabric use across swimwear and activewear. Washing and print-related processes are supported by water purification systems. All printing is handled by overseas partners using modern digital and sublimation technology using eco friendly dyes from both Dystar in Germany and Huntsman dyes in the US.
Community Support
We support Bali Street Mums, a Bali-based organization working with mothers and children facing extreme hardship. Our ongoing support contributes to programmes focused on safe homes, basic needs, access to healthcare and education, and protecting vulnerable families. Supporting the local community we operate in is part of running a responsible, long-term manufacturing business.
Responsible Materials
All fabrics used in our articles are sourced from established overseas mills specializing in recycled performance materials. This includes recycled nylon from REPREVE® and Carvico, as well as recycled activewear fabrics from Korea and the US, selected for durability and reliable colour performance.
We take a practical approach to sustainability by sourcing responsibly, maintaining stable employment, and improving processes where it makes sense within day-to-day production.
